About the event

Fashioning for Social Environmental Justice (FSEJ) leverages the universal language of fashion and art to address global issues of peace, environmental sustainability, and social justice, aligning with the goals of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). Through initiatives like the Global Peace Flag, FSEJ amplifies the call for nuclear disarmament by fostering awareness and creating powerful visual and experiential platforms that highlight the interconnectedness of global peace and environmental preservation. Using fashion and art as mediums, FSEJ transcends political and cultural barriers to unite communities, foster dialogue, and inspire collaborative efforts toward policy change. By engaging grassroots communities, particularly those disproportionately affected by environmental and social injustices, and connecting the existential threats of nuclear weapons and climate change, FSEJ mobilizes collective action for sustainable solutions.
